This altered book, On Gilded Wings was exhibited in an exhibition called Totems – organised by Fibres and Fabrics (my local fibreart group last year), I didn’t blog about it during the making of it as it was for the exhibition, and afterwards, well I was totally over it.
The original book was a landscape orientated book on weaving. For me, birds represent freedom, freedom from oppression, freedom of speech, freedom to create, freedom to be.
Lately I revisited it on my bookshelf and fell in love again, so I took the time to scan and upload, hopefully for your enjoyment as well.
